It’s also considered the center of a vast region in the South of Morocco. Ouarzazate shows the beauty of southern foothills of the Atlas and the close desert.
The countless Kasbahs, the arid mountains and plains, the valleys and oasis, the palm groves and the villages of the Red City make the charm of the region and make it more attractive and magical to tourists.
The road between Marrakech and Ouarzazate allows you to enjoy the High Atlas and the beautiful sceneries it has to offer as well as the small villages and Kasbahs all over the way.
Before reaching Ouarzazate, a stop is required to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fortress located on a hill and is considered a real museum city. This site has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987.
